Liisa Spink is currently the Affiliate Manager for Dress for Success Seattle (DFSS). Previous to DFSS, Liisa helped raise over $4 million for Seattle Children's Theatre Capital Campaign. For her efforts in the Seattle Women's March, she was recently selected as one of Seattle Magazine’s 2017 Most Influential Seattleites. Previous to that Liisa was the Director of the Cornish Playhouse for Cornish College of the Arts, and the Executive Director of The Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center. In the UK, Liisa worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company where she produced large scale events, arts education projects and major collaborations. She worked in partnership with the BBC, London Philharmonia Orchestra, and the Department of Media Culture and Sport (DCMS). As part of her work at the RSC she developed and produced the opening performance on the newly redeveloped stages in Stratford upon Avon. She won the 2010 Children and Young People Now Award from the UK Education Minister as part of her work with looked after children. Her work with the BBC was nominated for a Broadcast Digital award for Best Content Partnership.
As Program Manager at Bright Space, Liisa was in charge of implementing a national framework for education in 90 schools across 3 counties. This program was part of a wide government strategy on increasing success within public schools.
At DanceXchange, Liisa worked on the Telford Culture Zone, a partnership aimed at building educational infrastructure in a depressed economic area of the West Midlands.
Before working in the UK, Liisa taught in Paris for a year. Liisa has her BA in English Literature from UCLA and her MA in Shakespeare Studies from the Shakespeare Institute.
